Cylindrical Roller Bearings SL04 in Rope Sheaves

Construction machinery and conveying equipment are being designed as increasingly compact while their power levels are continually increasing. This increase in power density places increasingly high demands on the rolling bearings used. This is particularly true for rope sheaves made from plastic or steel, since these must transmit very high power levels with high operational security under a wide variety of environmental and operating conditions. The rolling bearings used are subject to very high demands in terms of functional security, rating life and environmental durability. Rolling bearings are now used in preference if they have high load carrying capacity, are extremely reliable, have a very long rating life and are very easy to fit.

Split spherical roller bearings are principally used where the replacement of unsplit spherical roller bearings would require costly additional work, involving the removal of gears or couplings, the dismounting of drives or the dismantling of shaft power trains. The use of split spherical roller bearings reduces the downtime of machinery and plant.

Sealed Spherical Roller Bearings

With reliable protection against contamination

Spherical roller bearings are double row, self-retaining units comprising solid outer rings with a concave raceway, solid inner rings and barrel rollers with cages. The inner rings have cylindrical or tapered bores. The symmetrical barrel rollers orient themselves freely on the concave outer ring raceway. As a result, shaft flexing and misalignment of the bearing seats are compensated.

Bearings for vibratory machines

Rolling bearings in modern vibratory machines must be able, whilst occupying the minimum of space, to reliably support shock type loads, centrifugal forces and accelerations as well as allowing high speeds to be achived. Furthermore circular, ellipsoid or linear vibratory movement occurs during raotation around the unit´s own axis, including loads on the cages in particular. Where bearings locations do not allow good alignment or there is flexing of the shaft, this leads to increased loads on the bearings. Furthermore, the external operating conditions are often extremely unfortunable.
